Summer 2024 study

During summer 2024, I attended the course The Psychology of Cults in Harvard Summer School. This is a 7-week systematic study on cases of cults. The course was led by professor Bethany Burum and we focused on

● Reading empirical research articles in Psychology, understanding their findings in depth, and applying these findings to real-world case studies

● Understand how people’s beliefs are shaped by their social environment

● Understand how key features of human psychology can leave people vulnerable to exploitation

In this course, I have three major study outcomes: 2 presentations on individual cults, The Movement for the Restoration of the Ten Commandments of God and The Church of Almighty God, and 1 psycho-analytical paper on The Church of Almighty God. Files are attached below.
